Watching last night’s Mets game was fun.

The game was close, the score swung back and forth…

But just as the commentators and all the pundits have said since, it somehow seemed the Mets refused to lose.

Hopefully its a sign of things to come and not just an aberration.

Sorry, not much blogging today… I had to model roughly 50 supports and didn’t even get started on that until after lunch.

Last night was a momentous night for me.

I finally beat Green Grass and High Tides on Hard.

The ultra long ending solo actually went pretty smoothly and I followed it up by beating Train Kept a Rollin’

Last non-DLC to beat: Flirtin with Disaster

So far not much luck there, I’m only at about 73%

Getting through all the DLC will take a while, too.

Long weekends are usually a good chance for me to catch up on maintenance tasks at the office, but this weekend, Lethy and I were able to get away.

We headed up to Providence to hang out with my sister Jane and Ken, catch a Van Halen concert, and to get some 4 player Rockband going.

So we hit the road and somewhere around Stamford, we hit some stop and go traffic.

We figured it’d be fun to take some snaps of our progress and fire them over to Ken.

As Ken termed it: “Vicarious road-tripping”

Stamford was hot and slow… not really THAT hot… I’m still not sure where that sensor is supposed to go.

Hot

Eventually we made it to New Haven where traffic lessened… and nothing signifies New Haven to me (besides traffic) more than the “Flag Man”

Flag Man

An hour or so later:

RI

The rest of Saturday basically involved rock band, water fire, coffee and some more Rockband, all of which I did not take pictures of.

Sunday got off on the wrong foot. We spent about 3 hours sorting all of that out before we finally got back to the house with Jane. Her friend Marshall joined us for a brunch of goodies from Seven Stars bakery.

In the afternoon we grilled up some Steaks and veggies. It was really good, props Grillmaster Ken.

Finally the big event rolled around… no, not playing Rockband… but actually seeing one live.

Van Halen really put on a show… David Lee Roth was… weird, but entertaining nonetheless.

Eddie’s solos were mind blowing, I really don’t know how he does what he does.

Here’s some really crappy pics:

I’ve always been all about keeping my website simple.

No longer the case.

Today I ponder starting my own blog.

Actually, it’s already too late… I’ve installed wordpress, picked a theme, etc.

And so it begins.
